Getting started
* JHelioviewer is a Java Application and requires Java 5 or higher. If Java is not installed on your computer, simply download it here.
* After downloading JHelioviewer, you can launch it either by double-clicking on the file icon or from the command line (java -jar JHelioviewer2.jar). The latter gives you more flexibility, e.g. to increase the memory JHelioviewer can use (add -Xmx1500m for up to 1500 MB).
* The first time you start JHelioviewer, it will download several platform-dependent libraries, which will take a moment.
* Now you are ready to go: Simply use the observation panel to access 14 years worth of SOHO data.
* If you find a bug, please report it here. JHelioviewer is open source - share and enjoy!
